My Story: Out of Love for Bavarian Pub Culture
Hi, I'm Tobi.
Biergartenschein isn't backed by an anonymous team or a large corporation, but by pure passion for our homeland, convivial hours, and the incomparable Bavarian way of life. As a true Regensburg native, born in Gewek and a passionate beer garden-goer, I run this project and this website entirely on my own. I'd like to briefly tell you how a cheerful idea became my very own passion project.
How it all began:
From coffee shop glow to first solo tour
My journey began in 2024. Inspired by the idea of the well-known "Cafeten-Schein" (cafe voucher), I thought to myself: Surely there's a more traditional way to do this! Without further ado, I sat down, created and organized the very first voucher for Regensburg, and carried out the tour with my private circle of friends. The day was an absolute delight, and the feedback from my friends was phenomenal. The idea was planted, but then lay dormant for a while.
May 2026: The Perfection
In May of this year, the fever struck me again. I revisited the idea, spent weeks refining the concept, and perfected the design and process down to the smallest detail.
Armed with the new, optimized certificate, I set off again – and this round exceeded all expectations! Not only were the participants in my group completely thrilled. The other guests I met in the beer gardens during that time, and especially the waitstaff there, also responded incredibly well to the event and absolutely loved it. That's when I knew: This cannot remain an insider secret.

I now want to share with you the exact fun I experienced and the pure joy behind spending a cozy and unforgettable time in the beer gardens of our beautiful city.
My goal is to enable every close-knit group, every regular's table, and every circle of friends to undertake this legendary tour at an absolutely fair price. The Beer Garden Pass is your perfect excuse to completely shut out everyday life. Whether you start your morning with a hearty Weißwurst breakfast and then move from garden to garden, or whether you want to leisurely discover new corners throughout the summer: it's about spending time together and creating conscious memories.
Handmade with love and attention to detail
Because I'm handling the entire project myself, every detail reflects my personal effort. The "Biergartenschein" (Beer Garden Pass) is printed on high-quality paper, and I poured my heart into designing the exclusive traditional pin, so it can be proudly worn on your traditional attire, vest, or cap. It will be your loyal companion on your way to the 8 stops – or even to the legendary Beer Garden Dignity with the King Ludwig Order (for those who can really hold their liquor!).
